Jessica Hische Video

In class we watched a video about Jessica Hische and Erick Marinouich, who co-founded the Title Case: The Office of Typographic Artisans. Jessica and Erick discussed many things, such as, how they were able to customize their desk. Although, customizing a desk might not seem that important but in a profession where you are designing for a living, the layout of your desk is a key component for success. With the desk being one topic discussed, the main focus of the video seemed to be towards lettering. This was great since I didn't have any past knowledge of lettering before I watched this video. I learn that lettering isn't a task that has one simple way of being done. Experimenting with letters is very importance since there are always new and unexplored ways of drawing letters. It was mentioned that it will take time to find where lettering takes place since letters can have extraordinary details but with the right education, spotting the details can become easy.
